Francis Samoda of 119 Beaumont St.;Belle Vernon;died at his home Tuesday;Sept.17;1985;at 7:20 a.m. He was 57. Born October 16;1927;he was a son of the late Andrew and Fronie Konosky Samoda. Mr.Samoda was a member of the Charleroi Eagles Aerie;Lodge 390 and was employed at Corning Glass in Charleroi for 39 years. Mr.Samoda served as a U.S.Army corporal and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. Surviving are two brothers;Eugene Samoda at home and Kenneth Samoda of Belle Vernon and a sister;Verna Mae Samoda;at home. Friends will be received Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;where funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. with Dr.John H.Arnold of the Library Baptist Church officiating.
