Francesco (Chic) Venneri;702 Grant St.;Belle Vernon;died Wednesday;Jan.31;1979;at 8 p.m.in the Veterans Administration Hospital;Pittsburgh. He was 86. Mr.Venneri was born in Italy;Dec.27;1892;and had resided in Belle Vernon for over 60 years. He was a veteran of World War II;having served with the U.S.Army. Mr.Venneri was a member of the Belle Vernon American Legion and the V.F.W.of Newell. He was preceded in death by a brother;Charles Venneri;on March 28;1973. Mr.Venneri is survived by two nephews;William M.Venneri;with whom he resided;and Eugene Venneri of Belle Vernon;and one niece;Mrs.George (Helen) Thieser of Charleroi. Friends will be received in the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;from 7 to 9 p.m.on Thursday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday. A Blessing service will be held in the funeral home;Saturday at 11 a.m.with Rev.Edward Gearing;pastor of St.Sebastian R.C.Church;Belle Vernon;officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
