Obituary

Frances M. Colvin, 93, of Belle Vernon, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, Jan.14, 2010, in Easy Living Estates of Hunker. A daughter of the late Charles and Lillian McClain Wallace, she was born in Monongahela on Sept. 19, 1916. She was a member of the Rehoboth Presbyterian Church and had volunteered for over 20 years at the Westmoreland County Food Bank until 2008. A resident of Belle Vernon for the past 57 years, she will be loved and remembered by many friends and relatives. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Kenton R. and Madeline Nescot Colvin of Morgantown, W.Va., and Jan and Janet Colvin of Winston-Salem, N.C., three grandchildren, Kevin R. Colvin of Greensboro, N.C., Dwayne Colvin of Bensalem and Dawn R. Colvin Ellis of Cleveland, Ohio, two great-granddaughters, and two great-grandsons. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter R. Colvin Jr., in 1975, a grandson, Keith R. Colvin, in July 2009, a sister, Sara Wallace Kimball, and two brothers, Albion Wallace and Wilbur Wallace. Richard Klein officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Rehoboth Presbyterian Church in her name.
