Frances Keifer Lowe; 77; of Monessen; died Wednesday; Dec. 26; 2001; in Mon Valley Hospital. She was born Feb. 22; 1924; in Monessen; the daughter of the late John and Laverne Worley Keifer. A lifelong resident of Monessen; she was a member of the First Baptist Church of Monessen. Besides her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband; Robert T. Lowe Sr.; on Aug. 26; 1994; a daughter; Janet Lee Lowe; on Nov. 22; 1963; four brothers; Rodney Keifer; Raymond Keifer; Larry Keifer and Milton Keifer; one sister; Layda Belle Woods; and a grandson; Sam Lorenzo Jr. She is survived by a son; Robert T. Lowe Jr. of Monessen; a daughter; Mrs. David (Margaret) Toman of Florida; two sisters; Olive Staley and Mrs. Elma Mudron; both of Monessen; two granddaughters; Regina Toman of North Carolina and Monica Lowe of Monessen; one grandson; R. T. Lowe III of Fort Bragg; N.C. and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received in the STEPHEN D. YONEY JR. FUNERAL HOME; First Street and Schoonmaker Avenue; Monessen; Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Scott Koeppen; pastor of First Baptist Church of Monessen; officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
