Floyd R.(Pete) Faulks of 670 Reed Ave.;Monessen;died at 6:40 a.m.yesterday in the Veterans’ Administration Hospital;Oakland;Pittsburgh. He was 59. Mr.Faulks was born Nov.7;1924;in Statesboro;Ga.;a son of the late George and Mahaley Faulks. Prior to retiring in 1972;he had worked for a number of years in the Fiber Department of the Monessen Works of Wheeling-Pittsburg Steel Corporation. A U.S. Army veteran of World War II;Mr.Faulks was a member of Union Baptist Church;Monessen;and was a former chairman of its Board of Trustees. Surviving are his wife;Anna Mae Faulks;at home;one son;Floyd Faulks of Oceanside;Calif.;one daughter;Stacy;at home;step-children;Darlese;Marsha;Fred;Dorothy;Kathy;Yvonne and Howard Foxx;a niece;Mrs.Dorothy Wilson of Arnold City;and a host of cousins. Friends will be received at the Draper Funeral Home;608 Sixth St.;Monessen;Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. The body will then be moved to the Union Baptist Church;Monessen;where it will lie in state Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. Sevices will be held Thursday at 11 a.m.in the Union Baptist Church;Monessen. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Draper Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
