Florence Violet Mitchell Fagan,67,of Secane,Pa.,formerly of Belle Vernon,died Thursday,July 21,1988,at 7:50 a.m. in the Delaware County Hospital,Upper Darby, Pa.,after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Fagen was born Dec. 30,1920,in Rostraver Township,Westmoreland County,a daughter of the late Roy S. and May Oliphant Mitchell. She was a Protestant by faith. Her husband, George Fagan,died in 1969. Surviving are three sons, George W. Fagan of Philadelphia,and Dwight Roy Fagan and Daniel Mitchell Fagan, both of Collindale,Pa.;two daughters,Mrs. Roger (Margaret) McCroble of Watkinsviile, Ga.,and Mrs. Charles (Esther) Downs of Darby,Pa.;21 grandchildren;nine step-grandchildren;12 step-great-grandchildren;four brothers, Curtis and Donald Mitchell,both of Belle Vernon,Roy Mitchell of Charleroi R.D.1 and Robert Mitchell of Charleroi;and two sisters,Mrs. George (Esther) Kistler of North Charleroi and Mrs. Lewis (Dorothy) Farkas of Charleroi. Friends will be received in the Howard W. McCrory Funeral Home,Fayette City,on Saturday from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.,Sunday from noon to 9 p.m. and on Monday until 1 p.m.,the hour of services in the funeral home,with the Rev. Francis M.Blair,pastor,the Presbyterian Church of Charleroi,officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vrnon Cemetery. The Howard W. McCrory Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
