Florence Fijewski Potega; 83; of Belle Vernon; died Tuesday; Sept. 6; 2005; in Mon Valley Hospital; Carroll Township. Born May 16; 1922; in Weirton; W.Va.; she was the daughter of the late Stanislaw and Frances Bolowski Fijewski. Mrs. Potega was a resident of Belle Vernon for the past 25 years; a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church; Belle Vernon; the Legion of Mary at St. Sebastian Church and the Perry Traveler Club of Perryopolis. She is survived by a son; Patrick Potega; of Los Angeles; Calif.; two daughters and a son-in-law; Nan and Walter Ziemba; of Belle Vernon; and Nadine Potega; of Coal Center; two sisters; Viola Runkel and Martha Bobola; both of West Virginia; and two grandsons; Matthew and Michael Potega. She was preceded in death by her husband; Henry J. Potega; on Feb. 20; 1995; and several brothers. Visitation will be held Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the LEONARD J. A Prayer Service will be held Friday; Sept. 9; at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home; followed by Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Sebastian R.C. Church with the Rev. Lawrence L.
