Funeral services were held Tuesday morning;December 26;1995;for Florence M.Blevins;95;of 606 Valley Manor;Monessen;who died Saturday;Dec.23;1995;in Mon Valley Hospital;Carroll Township. Born March 1;1900;in Wickhaven;she was a daughter of the late Melford and Laura Gamble Maxon. A lifelong resident of the Mon Valley;she was a member of the United Methodist Church of Monessen. In addition to her parents;she was preceded in death by her husband;Earl V.Blevins;a son;Earl V.Blevins Jr.;a grandson;Earl A.Blevins;three brothers and three sisters. Survivors include one daughter;Leatrice DeHosse of Monessen;one daughter-in-law;Mafalda Pro Blevins of Belle Vernon;three grandchildren;Karen Webber of Denver;Colo.;James Blevins of Syracuse;N.Y.;and Robert Blevins of Acme;and five great-grandchildren. Burial was in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Rhome Funeral Home Inc.;Monessen;was in charge of arrangements.
