Mrs. Florence Furtak,who resided with her daughter, Mrs. Joseph (Helen) Karbowsky, Belle Vernon,R.D.3,died Thursday,November 28,1957,at about noon in the Charleroi-Monessen Hospital. Mrs. Furtak was a member of the Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox Church, Charleroi. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Karbowsky,Mrs. Peter (Mary) Hornchalk of Belle Vernon,R.D.3 and Mrs. Peter (Eva) Rusyniak of Belle Vernon;18 grandchildren;45 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Toner Funeral Home during hours of 1 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. Services will be held Monday, December 2,1957,at 9:30 a.m. in the Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox Church,in charge of Rev. Gregory Soroka,and interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Harold R.Toner is the funeral director.
