Obituary

Florence Richie,80, of Belle
Vernon R. D. 1, died at his
home Monday,Sept.22,1969, at 2:15 p.m.
Mr. Richie,a retired coal
miner, was a member of St.
Paul Evangelical Lutheran
Church and the Hungarian
Lodge,both of Monessen. He
came to Monessen 78 years ago.
Mr. Richie was born in Canada.
Mr. Richie at one time was
an employee of the City of Monessen.
Surviving are his widow,
Mary Homa Richie,two sons,
Charles of Monessen and Robert
of Detroit,Mich.,a
stepson,
Robert Michaux of Donora, four daughters, Mrs.Benjamin
(Laura) Aiello of Baltimore,
Md.,Mrs. Albert (Clara)
Forgas of Belle Vernon R. D.
1, Mrs. Frank (Virginia) Kurdilla of Monessen, Mrs. Andrew
(Lorraine) Soltis of Belle Vernon
R. D. 1, three brothers,
Victor of Waynesburg, Gust of
Uniontown, Frank of Coal Center,
a sister, Mrs. Chester
(Rose) Yost of Belle Vernon
R. D. 1, 22 grandchildren and
14 great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at
the Edwin Melenyzer Funeral
Home,Monessen, after 7 p.m. Tuesday,Sept.23,1969, and from 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m.Wednesday,Sept.24,1969. Service there Thursday,Sept.25,1969,at 10:30 a.m.with the Rev.Thomas R.Stemmell,pastor of St.Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church of Monessen,officiating. Interment,Belle Vernon Cemetery. Edwin Melenyzer,funeral director.
