Ferry Lea;74;of 941 Grant St.;Monessen;died Tuesday;Dec.23;1975 at 8:10 p.m. in Charleroi Division of Mon Valley Hospital after a short illness. Born in Orange County;N.C. on Jan.18;1901;he was a son of the late Willis and Elizabeth Florence Lea. Mr.Lea had lived in Monessen the past 52 years. He retired from the Monessen plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp.in July 1966. Mr.Lea belonged to the Mon Valley Retired Steelworkers. Surviving are his widow;Sylvia Lea;five sons;William Lea of Monessen;Ferry Lewis Lea of Indianapolis;Ind.;Dallas Lea of Pittsburgh;Edward Lea of Monessen and Warren Mitchell Lea of Burnsville;Minn.;one brother;Lewis Lea of New Castle;11 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Beverly C.Draper Funeral Home;Monessen;from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. Services will be held from the funeral home chapel on Saturday at 11 a.m. with the Rev.Clarence L.McGraw officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
