Obituary

Fannie L. Evans,91,of 811 Sixth St.,Charleroi,died Sunday,Aug. 14,1988,at 5:55 p.m.,in her home. She was born Nov. 8,1896,in Belle Vernon,a daughter of the late Lowe and Kathryn Krepps Peters. Mrs. Evans had been a resident of Charleroi since 1939,and was Protestant by faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Joseph Jr.and Charles Evans;one daughter,Frances Yakich;one grandson,Robert G. Lambert Jr.,who died in 1984;three sisters, Anna Saros,Della Ermlick and Mary Grant;and two brothers, Milliard and Arthur Peters. Surviving are her husband,Joseph H. Evans;one son,William P. Evans of Charleroi R.D.1;two daughters, Mrs. Robert (June) Lambert of Charleroi and Mrs. Joseph (Opal) Wargo of Charleroi R.D.1;12 grandchildren,31 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren;and one sister,Mrs.Dorothy Cable of Uniontown. Friends will be received Monday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Carl J. Spallino Funeral Home,819 Fallowfield Ave.,Charleroi.  Services will be held in the funeral home at 11 a.m. on Wednesday,with the Rev. Paul R. Milliken,pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Charleroi,officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.  Arrangements are being handled by the Carl J. Spallino Funeral Home.
