Fannie Coates Bryant;80;of Sewickley;formerly of Belle Vernon;died Friday;Jan.29;1977;at Sewickley Valley Hospital. Born in Alabama on Feb.23;1896;Mrs.Bryant had moved to Sewickley from Belle Vernon two years ago. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church;Belle Vernon. She was preceded in death by her husband;the Rev.George Bryant;on Aug.2;1953;and by a brother;William Coates. Surviving are five nieces and one nephew;Mrs.Vera Rucker of Sewickley;Mrs.Fannie Bates of Pittsburgh;Mrs.Beatrice Alexander of Beaver Falls;Mrs.Maxine Coats;Mrs.Naomi Johnson and William Coates Jr.;all three of Pittsburgh. Friends will be received at the Richard D.Cole Funeral Home;328 Beaver St.;Sewickley;from 7 to 9 p.m.Monday. The body will be transferred to Antioch Baptist Church;Belle Vernon;to lie in state from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.Tuesday. Services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m.at the church with the Rev.Samuel Green officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Richard D.Cole is funeral director in charge.
