Ewing F.Brown;84;of 205 State St.;Belle Vernon;died Monday morning;Nov.8;1971;at 3:15 a.m.in Charleroi-Monessen Hospital. He was born in Fayette City Dec.6;1886;a son of the late Fred C.and Agnes Brewer Brown. He was a retired carpenter of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel’s Allenport Plant. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Belle Vernon and Masonic Lodge 643 of Belle Vernon. Surviving are his widow;Judy Brown ;one son;Ewing F.Brown of Pittsburgh; two daughters;Mrs.Madeline Wackenhuth of Lake Hopatcong;N.J.and Mrs.Marjorie Gay of Pompton Plains;N.J.;four stepsons;Warren Hanks of Sharon;Charles Hanks of San Luis Obispo;Calif.;and Paul Hanks of Pulaski;N.Y.;two stepdaughters;Mrs.Ruth Lenhart of Broadway;N.J.;and Mrs.Lois Thompson of Chalk Hill;18 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received after 4 p.m.Monday at the Howard W. McCrory Funeral Home;Fayette City;where a service will be held Wednesday;Nov.10;1971;at 2:30 p.m.with the Rev.Seth P.Bower of the Belle Vernon First United Methodist Church officiating.
