A former Monessen resident;Evelyn Sprouse Brown;of High St.;Brownsville;died suddenly of a heart attack at her late home on Saturday Feb.8;1964 at 10:30 p.m. Mrs.Brown was a graduate of Monessen High School and California State Teachers College. She was a member of South Brownsville Methodist Church;Iron Bridge Chapter;Order of Eastern Star;Brownsville Garden Club and Ladies Auxiliary to Brownsville Hospital. Surviving are her husband;Grant E.;Sr.;two sons;Grant E.;Jr. of Detroit;Mich.;and Ned of Columbus;Ohio;one daughter;Carol Brown at home;her mother;Mrs.Mary Sprouse of Brownsville;one brother;Wayne Sprouse of Brownsville. Friends will be received at the Kisinger Funeral Home;515 Front St.in Brownsville;after 7 p.m.Monday Feb.10. Service there Wednesday;Feb.12 at 1:30 p.m.in charge of the Rev.John W.Gordon;former pastor of South Brownsville Methodist Church. Interment;Belle Vernon Cemetery.
