Eva Nichols Barr of Charleroi;died Friday;Sept.21;1984;at her home. She was 85. Mrs. Barr was born in Arnold City on Oct.11;1898;a daughter of the late John and Emma Redman Usher. She was Protestant by faith. In addition to her parents;she was preceded in death by her husband;Charles in 1960;a son;Frank in 1982;and three daughters;Clara King;Lena Corley and Marie Bernard. Survivors include two sons;John and Louis Nichols;both of Charleroi;five daughters;Mrs.Bertha King of R.D.Perryopolis;Mrs.Eva Steeger of Boyds;Md.;Mrs.Alfretta Houseman of Belle Vernon;Mrs.Norma Jean Halley of Charleroi and Mrs.Ruth McWilliams of Irwn;a brother from Belle Vernon;36 grandchildren;65 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Ed Melenyzer Funeral Homes Inc.825 Fallowfield Ave.Charleroi;on Saturday from 7 to 9 and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev.Ralph Houseman officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Ed Melenyzer Funeral Homes;Inc.is handling the arrangements.
