Eva E. Bird; 93; of Belle Vernon; died Monday; Nov. 3; 2008; in Mon Valley Hospital. A daughter of the late Jesse T. and Sarah Belle Brubaker Stricklen; she was born in Jacobs Creek on May 25; 1915. Eva was a member of the Belle Vernon Church of the Nazarene and had resided all of her adult life in Belle Vernon. Survivors include two nieces; including Leona Stewart; of California; Pa.; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and a dear friend; Carolyn Desko; of Rostraver Township. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband; Oliver Bird; on July 22; 1998; three brothers and four sisters.
