Obituary

Eva Altier of Belle Vernon RD 2 died Tuesday,Dec.30,1980 at 10:20 p.m.in her home. She was 83. Mrs.Altier was born Oct.27,1897,in Jeannette,Pa.,a daughter of the late Emile and Augusta Brutout DeBolle. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church,Monessen,the Belle Vernon Golden Agers,and was a past president of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary,Monessen,and the Rostraver PTA. Mrs.Altier had resided in Rostraver Township since 1941 and formerly lived in Monessen. She was preceded in death by a brother,Paul Rapp,on May 24,1954,and by her husband,Tony Altier,on May 29,1964. Survivors include a son,Norman Altier,of Belle Vernon,two daughters,Mrs.William (Florence) Callaway of Belle Vernon RD 2,and Mrs.Dorothy Cloherty of Clearwater,Fla.,10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m.in the funeral home. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
