Obituary
Eugene Ross,49,House 57,Pricedale,a former Donora resident,died Thursday,Jan. 22,1959,at 7:20 a.m. in Monongahela Memorial Hospital after a lingerng illness. He was born in Coatopa, Ala.,November 20,1909 and lived in the Donora and Pricedale area for the past 15 years. He was employed in the Blast Furnace Dept. of American Steel and Wire Division and was a member of St. Paul Baptist Church,Donora. Surviving are his wife,Mrs. Laurice Ross,at home;two daughters,Mrs. Gertie Thompson of Birmingham,Ala.and Barbara Louise,at home;six sons,Robert of Donora,Fred of Biringham,and William,Richard,James Edward and Maurice,at home;four sisters,Hattie Ross,Mrs. Gladys Jackson and Gertrude Ross,all of Cincinnati,Ohio and Mrs Mary Lee of Uniontown,Ala;and six brothers,Ottis and Percy of Belmont,Ala.,James of Detroit,Mich.,Robert of Bessemer,Ala.,Cedrick of Youngstown,Ohio and Orlando of Cincinnati.Ohio. Friends will be received at the late home until after 5 p.m. Saturday. Funeral services will be held Monday,Jan.26,1959 at 11 a.m. at the Antioch Baptist Church,Belle Vernon,the Rev. A.C.Morris,pastor,officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Percy Law,Donora,funeral director in charge.
