Obituary

Eugene P. Fabian, 79, of Stockdale, died Sunday, Feb. 11, 2007 at 1:30 a.m. in Mon Valley Hospital, Carroll Township. Born Aug. 15, 1927 in Stockdale, he was the son of the late Emory and Mary Zalom Fabian. He was a lifelong resident of the Mon Valley, a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Roscoe, the Belle Vernon Knights of Columbus Council 3026 and a retired clerical worker from Fisher Body. Mr. Fabian was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Winn Fabian, of Stockdale, two daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and J.P. Eck, of Fredericksburg, Va., and Janet and Ron Skiles, of Belle Vernon, two granddaughters, Whitney Eck Riley and Krista Eck, three brothers and sisters-in-law, Edward and Sandra Fabian, of Belle Vernon, David and Mary Jane Fabian, of St. Joseph, Mich., and Emory and Mary Fabian, of Arizona, two sisters and one brother-in-law, Betty Johnson, of Stockdale, and Florence and Joseph Barisa, of Ellsworth, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, William Fabian, and a sister, Mary Cowell. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the LEONARD J. PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME, family owned and operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon (724-929-6183). A Prayer Service will be held Wednesday, Feb. 14 at 10:15 a.m. in the funeral home, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. in St. Joseph R.C. Church with the Rev. Francis Nazimek as celebrant. Entombment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Belle Vernon Knights of Columbus will conduct services on Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the funeral home. The family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of Eugene P.
