Eugene L.Vaccaro;53;of Rostraver Twp.;Belle Vernon;died Thursday;Jan.12;1978;at 2:22 p.m. in Allegheny General Hospital;Pittsburgh. Born March 17;1924;in Belle Vernon;he was a son of Mrs.Rose Mendicino Vaccaro of Belle Vernon and the late John Vaccaro;who passed away in 1957. He was employed as a track foreman by the Pittsburgh & Lake Erie Railroad and was a a member of the M.and W.Local Union. He was a member of St.Sebastian Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus Council 3026;both of Belle Vernon. A U.S.navy veteran of World War II;he was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1605 of Newell. In addition to his father;he was preceded in death by two brothers;Anthony (Tony) in 1976 and Gasper in 1973;and a sister;Mary Vaccaro. Surviving are his widow;Mrs.Valeria Kukan Vaccaro;one daughter;Regina Vaccaro;at home;one brother;Joseph of Belle Vernon one sister;Mrs.Al (Julie) DiNardo of Pittsburgh and several nieces and nephews. Friends are being received from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the Leonard J.Parzynksi Funeral Home;626 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;where a prayer service will be held Monday at 9:30 a.m.;followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St.Sebastian Catholic Church of Belle Vernon. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Leonard J.Parzynski is the funeral director in charge.
