Eugene Dodaro;89;of 1415 Maple Ave.;Monessen;died Wednesday;May 1;1985;at 1:40 a.m.in the Haven Crest Nursing Home;Carroll Township. Born July 1;1895;in Italy;he was a son of the late Peter and Madeline Salvino Dodaro.Mr.Dodaro was a member of St.Cajetan Roman Catholic Church of Monessen;the Italian Society of Mutual Aid and the Monessen Sons of Italy. A Monessen resident since 1913;he retired in January 1963 from the pipe shop department of the Monessen plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. He was preceded in death by his wife;Rose Dodaro;on Sept.2;1975;a granddaughter;Rene Dodaro;in 1952;a sister;Vincenzina Spadafore in 1973;two brothers;Louis Dodaro in 1976 and John Dodaro in 1980. Surviving are two sons;Perry Dodaro of Monessen and James Dodaro of Elizabeth;a daughter;Mrs.William (Madeline) Myers of Monessen;eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Friends will be received Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Raymond D.Dalfonso Funeral Home;441 Reed Ave.;Monessen. Blessing service will be held Saturday at 9:30 a.m.in the funeral home;followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St.Cajetan Roman Catholic Church of Monessen with Rev.P.Lino Ramellini as celebrant. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The parish Rosary will be recited on Friday at 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The Raymond D.Dalfonso Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
