Obituary

Eugene C. “Smokey” Samoda, 93 of Belle Vernon, passed away, Monday, June 19, 2017.  He was born February 4, 1924 in Parnassus, Pa., the son of the late Veronic  Conosky and Andrew Samoda. Mr. Samoda was a World War II veteran serving in the U.S. Army.  He is survived by two nieces Deborah Watts and husband Jim of Fallowfield Township and Charlotte Kutcy of Belle Vernon; and his nephew Ken Samoda and wife Nikki of Fallowfield Township.  In addition to his parents Smokey was preceded in death by his sister Verna Samoda and two brothers Kenneth and Francis Samoda.  Funeral services will be private.  Arrangements were entrusted to the Schrock-Hogan Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc.
