Ethel Kovatch Miller of Fairhope;(Belle Vernon);died Sunday;June 28;1981;at 5:50 p.m. in Jefferson Medical Center following a lengthy illness. She was 74. Mrs.Miller was born March 24;1907 in Washington Twp.;a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Hadju Kovatch. A Protestant by faith;Mrs.Miller was preceded in death by her husband;James H.Miller;on Jan.18;1966;and a son;William;on July 7;1976. Surviviors include one son;James H.Miller Jr.of Belle Vernon;four daughters;Mrs.Anthony (Ethel Mae) Scaccia of Charleroi;Mrs.Marilyn June Kutcy and Mrs.Anthony (Ruth Ann) Filardi;both of Belle Vernon;and Loretta Jean Miller at home;15 grandchildren;12 great-grandchildren;one brother;William Kovatch of Belle Vernon;and two sisters;Mrs.George (Lena) Sakalik and Mrs.Elizabeth Trenk;both of Belle Vernon. Friends will be received at the Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home;Fayette City;Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and until 1:30 p.m.Thursday;when services will be held in the funeral home with Pastor William E.Quillen of the Elizabeth Wesleyan Church;Elizabeth;officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
