Esther M. Kistler; 77; of North Charleroi; died Saturday; Aug. 2; 2003; in Mon Valley Care Center. She was born Oct. 5; 1925; in Belle Vernon; a daughter of the late Roy S. and Bertha Mae Oliphant Mitchell. She was preceded in death by her husband; George Kistler; in 1990; one son-in-law; George Upvall; one brother; Roy Mike Mitchell; and two sisters; Agnes Kulka and Florence Fagan. Survivors include one son; Barry Kistler and wife Linda of Coal Center; one daughter; Carol Upvall of Ohio; three brothers; Curt and Don Mitchell; both of Belle Vernon; and Ray Mitchell of Charleroi; one sister; Dorothy Farkos of Charleroi; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the ELEY-McCRORY FUNERAL HOME INC.; 334 Main St.; Fayette City; on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday; Aug. 5; until 11 a.m. the hour of service in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
