Esther A. Byron,92,of 179 Royal Oak Dr.McKeesport,died Saturday,Dec.12,1987,at 8:25 p.m. in Kane Regional Health Center,McKeesport. Mrs. Byron was born Dec. 16,1894,in Belfast,Ireland,a daughter of the late James and Margaret Cunningham Bovill. A former resident of Monessen and Belle Vernon,she was a member of the former Trinity Episcopal Church in Monessen. Mrs. Byron was also a member of Monessen Order of Eastern Star Chapter 205. On June 20,1920,she married Robert B. Byron,who died in May 1976. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Mary Jane Rose. Survivors include two sons, Raymond R. Byron of State College and Lawrence J. Byron of McKeesport;six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Friends will be received Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Shelby D. Ferguson Funeral Home,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,where services will be held Tuesday,Dec. 15,at 11 a.m.,with Father Keith L. Ackerman,Rector of St. Mary's Episcopal Church of Charleroi,officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Order of Eastern Star services will be held Monday at 7 p.m.in the funeral home. Shelby D.Ferguson,funeral director,is in charge of arrangements.
