Ernest J. Partington,82,of 115 Breakneck Ave.,Connellsville, died Sunday,Aug. 30,1998,at 3:15 a.m. in Highlands Hospital, Connellsville. Born Nov. 29,1915,in Belle Vernon,he was a son of the late William H. and Margaret E. Quayle Partington. A U.S.Navy veteran of World War II,Mr. Partington had lived in Connellsville the past 36 years. He was a member of Greenwood United Methodist Church,Connellsville. Mr. Partington was retired manager of stores for West Penn Power Company. He had been a member of Order of Merlin International Brotherhood of Magicians for over 50 years. He was a 50-year member of Belle Vernon Masonic Lodge 643, F. & A.M,;and was a member of the Elks Lodge. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law,Gay and Howard Terry of New York,N.Y.;and two grandchildren,Travis Terry and Zoe Terry,both of New York. In addition to his parents,he was preceded in death by his wife,Cora Peters Partington,who died June 5,1992;and a brother, Hilton Partington,who died Aug. 29,1986. Friends will be received Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Leonard J. Parzynski Funeral Home,626 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,where services will be held Tuesday at noon with the Rev. Edward W. Rogosky,pastor of Greenwood United Methodist Church of Connellsville,officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Leonard J. Parzynski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
