Born in Belle Vernon;Dec.27;1921;he was a son of the late Joseph and Mary Nickolette DeSimone. Mr.DeSimone was a retired car inspector for Western Pacific Railroad. He was a U.S.Army veteran of World War II. Surviving are a son;Joseph Ernest DeSimone of Almeda;a daughter;Barbara DeSimone Phillippi of Billings;Montana;a brother;Sam DeSimone of Lakeland;Fla.;two sisters;Theresa Checchi of Belle Vernon and Rose Traversari of Monessen;and three grandchildren;Joseph Ernest Phillippi;Kristen Ann Phillippi and Kimberly Renee Phillippi. Friends will be received Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;where a Prayer service will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m.with Father Edward Gearing of St.Sebastian Church;Belle Vernon; officiating.
