Capt.E.E.Lenhart;86-year-old master of the steamboat Margaret;died Saturday;April 29;1944;at his home;212 Market St.;Belle Vernon;after a three weeks illness. He was the oldest pilot on the three rivers when he retired four years ago upon completion of his sixtieth year in service. The Margaret;owned by the McCrady-Rodgers Co.of Pittsburgh;had been in his continuous command for two decades. Capt.Lenhart is survived by five daughters and two sons;Mrs.Thomas Hewitt of Lincoln Place;Mrs.Earl Hewitt;Pittsburgh;Mrs.Edward Morgan;Belle Vernon;Mrs.Ruth Allen;Monessen;Mrs.Charles Frye;Monongahela;Edward of Monongahela and Walter of Belle Vernon R.D. One sister;Mrs.S.S.Jones of Belle Vernon;21 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren survive. Friends are being received at the Melenyzer Funeral Home in Belle Vernon. Rites will take place Tuesday afternoon;May 2;1944.
