Mr.Astle;a former resident of Stockdale;was a retired coal miner. He was a member of St.Mary’s Episcopal Church;Charleroi. Mr.Astle was preceded in death by his wife;Amy on July 6;1971. Surviving are two sons;Woodrow L.of Belle Vernon and Raymond J.of Stockdale;four daughters;Mrs.Dell (Marion) Auther of Fayette City;Mrs.Larry (Doris) Tulley and Mrs.Loma Jean Greco;both of Altoona;Mrs.William (Florence) Pidgeon of Wyndotte;Mich;17 grandchildren;26 great-grandchildren.
