Ernest Anderson Sr.of 532 Chestnut St.,Monessen,died Sunday, Feb. 6,1977 at 11:05 a.m. in Monongahela Division of Mon Valley Hospital. He was 78. Mr. Anderson was born Feb. 27,1898 in Liphonia,Ga. He was retired from the Monessen Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. He was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church,Monessen. Survivors include his widow, Elnora Anderson;four sons, Ernest Anderson Jr.,and Emmanuel Anderson, both of Monessen, Earl Flythe of New York City, N.Y. and John Flythe of Bostorn, Mass.; three daughters, Mrs. Luther (Anna Maud) Reed of New York,Mrs. Edward (Doris) Redwine of Monessen and Mrs. Eugene (Betty) McWilliams of Monessen;two brothers, Murphy Anderson and Andrew Anderson, both of Atlanta,Ga.;22 grandchildren,six great-grandchidlren and many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received in the William R. Taylor Funeral Home,645 McMahon Ave.,Monessen from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in Mt. Calvary Baptist Church,Monessen with Rev. G.E. Mason officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The William R.Taylor Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
