Erma M. Rygiel; 91; of Fayette City; passed away Tuesday; Jan. 15; 2008; in Allegheny General Hospital; Pittsburgh. She was born Jan. 20; 1916; in Elm Grove; a daughter of the late Albert and the late Maria Tonozzi. She was a member of Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church in Fayette City. Surviving are two sons; Joseph R. Rygiel Jr.; of Perryopolis; and Stanley A. (Kathy) Rygiel; of Fayette City; two granddaughters; Jamie Lynne Rygiel and Kristie Marie Rygiel; one sister; Lena Travis; of Star Junction; and two step-grandchildren; Jennifer Koliscak and Gregory Buretz. She was preceded in death by her husband; Joseph R. Rygiel Sr.; one brother; Primo Tonozzi; and two sisters; Aldina Sweitzer and Katherine Beck. Friends will be received in the ELEY-McCRORY FUNERAL HOME INC.; 334 Main St.; Fayette City; on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m.; Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.; and Saturday; Jan. 19; until 9:30 a.m.; when a blessing service will take place in the funeral home; followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in Holy Spirit R.C. Church with the Rev. Richard E. Mackiewicz as celebrant. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
