Eric E.Bieneck;46;of 1345 Reeves Ave.;Monessen;died Tuesday;April 9;1968;at 10:30 a.m.in Veterans Administration Hospital;Oakland;Pittsburgh. Although in ill health;his death was unexpected. Mr.Bieneck was born in Germany on Aug.20;1921;but had lived in Monessen since his early life. He was employed as a driver for Hilltop Bus Lines in Monessen. Mr.Bieneck was known throughout the Valley for his orchestra;the Velveteers. He was a member of the 82nd Airborne Division of the U.S.Army in the European Theatre during World War II. A member of St.Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church;he also belonged to American Legion Thomas McKee Post 28 and Volunteer Fire Department Hose House No.2;all of Monessen. Surviving are his widow;Alice Jeanne Reach Bieneck;his parents;Mr.and Mrs.Karl Bieneck Sr.of Monessen;two brothers;Karl Jr.of Belle Vernon and Gerhardt of Monessen. Friends will be received after 7 p.m.April 10 at the Robert A.Billick Funeral Home in Monessen. Service there Friday April 12 at 10:30 a.m.with the Rev.Thomas Stennett;pastor of St.Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Monessen;officiating. Interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Robert A.Billick is funeral director.
