Miss Emma Brandes, a resident of Monessen for the past 32 years, died at 7 o'clock Monday morning,December 30,1940 at her home, 173 Schoonmaker avenue. She was agod 66 years. She suffered a stroke at her home on Saturday morning and never regained consciousness. Surviving are two brothers, Charles Brandes, at home; Harry Brandes, of Youngstown, Ohio; Mrs. Thomas Cooper, of Monessen and Mrs. Elmer Myers of Champion. Friends are being received at the Woodward Home for Funerals. Funeral services will be held Wednesday,January 1st,at 2 o'clock,from the Woodward Home for Funerals. Rev.John E. Fosnight,pastor of the First Baptist Church,will officiate. Burial will be in the Belle Vernon Cemetery.
