Mrs. Emma M. Jarvis,70,of 107 Price St.,Belle Vernon, died suddenly Aug. 27,1971 at 3:45 a.m. in Charleroi-Monessen Hospital. A native of Gibsonia,Mrs. Jarvis was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Belle Vernon,past president of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 659 of Belle Vernon, past president of the Tri-County Council of the American Legion Auxiliary of Washington County and a member of the Order of Eastern Star of Belle Vernon. Survivors include her husband,G. Nash Jarvis; one daughter, Mrs. Harry (Hester) Crosser of Belle Vernon; one son, Charles Jarvis of Roanoke, Va.; five brothers, George Schmidt of Cooperstown,Pa., Albert, Edward, Charles and Arthur Schmidt,all of Gibsonia and five grandchildren. Friends will be received after 7 p.m. on Aug. 28 in the Harold R.Toner Funeral Home in Belle Vernon, where funeral services will be held Aug. 30 at 2 p.m. in the funeral home.
