Emma Ruth Farmer;73;of Morton St.;New Eagle;died Monday;June 16;1975;at 7:55 p.m. in Monongahela Division of Mon Valley Hospital. She had been ill the past three weeks. Mrs.Farmer was born in Carnegie on Mar.17;1902;the daughter of the late William and Mary Gillis Hillen and had resided in the Monngahela-New Eagle area for the past 52 years. Her husband;Harry R.Farmer;died in 1968. Survivors include two daughters;Mrs.Ruth Gamble of Monongahela nd Mrs.James (June) Doyle of Greensboro;N.C.;three grandchildren;one sister;Mrs.Thomas Clark of Youngstown;Ohio;and four brothers;John and James Hillen;both of Florida;and Eugene and Phillip Hillen;both of Carnegie. Friends will be received after 7 p.m.on Tuesday;June 17;1975;in the L.M.Frye Funeral Home in Monongahela where a Blessing service will be held in the funeral home at 11 a.m.on Thursday;June 19;1975;with the Rev.Paul P.Leger;pastor of Transfiguration Catholic Church of Monongahela;officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. L.M.Frye funeral director in charge.
