Mrs. Emma R. Steward,aged 63 years,wife of Rev. Lewis Steward,pastor of the Mt. Arriott Baptist Church of Cardale,Pa.,died Tuesday,March 20,1945,at 9:30 a.m. at her home,305 Highland street,Belle Vernon. Ailing for the past year,Mrs. Steward suffered a heart attack and died suddenly. Surviving are her husband,Rev. Steward,a daughter,Mrs. Katie B. Smith,of Brooklyn,N.Y.,and an adopted daughter,Mrs. Anna Bettles,of Belle Vernon. Friends are being received at the home. Funeral services will be held Saturday,March 21 at 2 p.m.,from the Antioch Church of Belle Vernon,with Rev. Maxie Smith officiating. Interment,Belle Vernon Cemetery.
