Emma Pieri Franchini of 714 Henry St.;Belle Vernon;died Monday;July 6;1981 at 8:45 p.m.in the Mon Valley Hospital. She was 80. Mrs.Franchini was born Oct.25;1900 in Belle Vernon;a daughter of the late Gaetano and Theresa Bartolozzi Pieri. A resident of Belle Vernon for the past 30 years;she was a member of St.Sebastian R.C.Church;Belle Vernon. Mrs.Franchini was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Garibaldi Hall;Dunlevy;and the Belle Vernon and Charleroi Golden Agers. She was preceded in death by a brother;Italo Pieri;and two sisters;Mrs.Dena J.Zanardelli on Sept.22;1977;and Mrs.Lena Valdiserri in August of 1980. Survivors include her husband;William D.Franchini;three sisters;Mrs.Aldo (Ida) Picchiarini;Mrs.Cleo (Lillian) Valdiserri and Mrs.Chester (Dolly) Biagini;all of Belle Vernon;several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received in the Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home;626 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Prayer Service will be held in the funeral home on Thursday;July 9;at 9:30 a.m.followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m.in St.Sebastian R.C.Church;Belle Vernon. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
