Obituary

On July 16, 1942, Emma Lee Jackson was born in Monessen to the late William and Zadine Bronson. A life-long resident of Monessen, she graduated from Monessen High School with the class of 1962 and later graduated from Douglas School of Business. She had a kind, loving, warm and very generous spirit. She was always willing to help anyone in any way that she could. She was a special woman in the lives of both her children and grandchildren. She also was a devoted football and basketball fan of Monessen, as well as an avid bingo player at Monessen Volunteer Fire Hall No. 1. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Jackson, one uncle, Willie Gomez, one brother, Kenneth Russell Bronson, one sister-in-law, Lillian Bronson, and one nephew, James Daryl Jeffries. She leaves to mourn her children, Vince Jackson of Monessen, Marcella Paula Jackson-Wilson of Austin, Texas, Launa Jackson-Wormack of Columbus, Ohio, and John Jackson and Kim Jackson, both of Monessen, 11 grandchildren, Brandon Jackson, Brittney Jackson, Eric Emerson, Corderro Jackson, John Jackson Jr., Kane Jackson, Shane Jackson, Hanna Jackson, Christy Jackson, Janelle Jackson and Jessie Wilson, brothers and sisters, John Bronson, Cleo Whitlock, William Bronson, Sylvester Bronson, Jessie Grant, Dale and Nadine Ross, Major and Noryne Corley and Donald and Donna Payne, all of Monessen, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Family and friends will be received at Union Baptist Church in Monessen on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Aug. 2 at 11 a.m. in the church, followed by interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
