Obituary

Emma Jean Emogene Dunn, 83, died Monday, May 12, 2003, in Latrobe Hospital. A daughter of the late Richard and Honor Louise Breakwell Hamer, she was born in Fairhope (Belle Vernon) on Dec. 25, 1919. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Belle Vernon, the Daughters of Scotia, and a former member of the H.O.A. class of the church. A lifelong homemaker and mother, she had resided in Delmont for the past seven years and was formerly of Belle Vernon. Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Hugh Bud Dunn, two daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Eileen and William Wagner of Delmont, and Louise and Ray Clark of Greensburg, two brothers and sisters-in-law, Allen and Ellen Hamer of Belle Vernon, and Willard and Janet Hamer of Charleroi, four granddaughters, Christine Nicely and husband Dennis of Delmont, and Heather Jean Wimple and husband Jason, Amanda Clark, and Rebecca Clark, all of Greensburg, and one great-grandson, Andrew Wimple. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, John L. Jack Hamer. Friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME INC., a Golden Rule Member Firm (724-929-5300), 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon. Funeral services will be in the funeral home on Thursday, May 15 at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
