Emil Kubin of Jamie Drive;Belle Vernon R.D.2;died Monday;June 10;1985;at 10:40 a.m. in Mon Valley Hospital. He was 78. Mr.Kubin was born Oct.5;1906 in Charleroi;a son of the late John and Verona Krivda Kubin. A lifelong resident of the Mon Valley;he retired in 1971 from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corporation’s Monessen Plant where he had worked as a general foreman of the central steam plant. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife;Mary Nichols Kubin;Sept.11;1976;and by two brothers;John and Joseph. Survivors include two sons;William E.Kubin of Belle Vernon;with whom he made his home;and John R.Kubin of Tampa;Fla.;two brothers;Michael and Andrew Kubin;both of Charleroi;three sisters;Anne Coon of Finleyville;Margaret Bahurinsky of Meadville and Helen Callery of Bentleyville;and five grandchildren;Shelley;Kimberly;Marie;Jacqueline and Cara. Friends will be received on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesdayat the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;where a prayer service will be held on Thursday at 10:15 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St.Anne Roman Catholic Church;Rostraver Township;with Rev.Renato F.Gianni;pastor as celebrant.
