Obituary

Emil Kubin of Jamie Drive,Belle Vernon R.D.2,died Monday,June 10,1985,at 10:40 a.m. in Mon Valley Hospital. He was 78. Mr.Kubin was born Oct.5,1906 in Charleroi,a son of the late John and Verona Krivda Kubin. A lifelong resident of the Mon Valley,he retired in 1971 from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corporation's Monessen Plant where he had worked as a general foreman of the central steam plant. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife,Mary Nichols Kubin,Sept.11,1976,and by two brothers,John and Joseph. Survivors include two sons,William E.Kubin of Belle Vernon,with whom he made his home,and John R.Kubin of Tampa,Fla.,two brothers,Michael and Andrew Kubin,both of Charleroi,three sisters,Anne Coon of Finleyville,Margaret Bahurinsky of Meadville and Helen Callery of Bentleyville,and five grandchildren,Shelley,Kimberly,Marie,Jacqueline and Cara. Friends will be received on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesdayat the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,where a prayer service will be held on Thursday at 10:15 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St.Anne Roman Catholic Church,Rostraver Township,with Rev.Renato F.Gianni,pastor as celebrant. Interment will follow in belle Vernon cemetery. Shelby D.Ferguson,funeral director,is in charge of arrangements.
