Obituary

Emmerson L. Harger of 724 Graham St.,Belle Vernon died Friday,Feb. 4,1983 at 5 a.m. in West Penn Hospital,Pittsburgh. He was 72. Mr. Harger was born Sept.24,1910,in Rostraver Twp.,a son of the late Richard and Myrtle Kennedy Harger. A member of the East Belle Vernon Athletic Association,he had lived in the Belle Vernon area most of his life. Mr. Harger retired in 1972 from the Allenport Plant of the Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp.,where he had worked as a coupling inspector.  Survivors include his widow,Margaret Eory Harger;three sons,Emmerson P.of Levittown,Morgan V. of Fairless Hills and Harry R. of Belle Vernon;one daughter,Mrs. Conrad (Marge) Lupori of Charleroi R.D.;two brothers,Richard of the state of California and Clifford of Hammond,Ind.;two sisters,Mrs. Marie Brounce and Mrs. Betty Swaney,both of Monessen;and 11 grandchildren. Friends will be received in the Shelby D. Ferguson Funeral Home,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,on Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services in the funeral home will be held Monday,Feb.7,at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.  Shelby D. Ferguson,funeral director,is in charge of arrangements.
