Eloise Beery Bow of Lynchburg, Va.,formerly of Monessen, died Saturday, Sept. 19,1987,in Virginia Baptist Hospital, Lynchburg. She was 80. Mrs. Bow was born Jan. 16,1907, in Monessen a daughter of the late Wilbert O. and Nannie Layton Beery. She had been a resident of Monessen until 1963. Mrs. Bow was a member of the First Christian Church of Lynchburg and the Lynchburg Women's Club. She was past president of the Monessen Women's Club and was Past Matron of the Order of Eastern Star. She had worked as a college house mother at various colleges. Mrs. Bow was preceded in death by her husband,Richard M. Bow in 1957. Survivors include a son,Richard W. Bow of Arlington,Va.;two daughters, Gwendolyn L. Bow of Martinsville, Va.,and Mrs. William (Nancy B.) King of Lynchburg,Va.;three grandchildren and one sister,Mrs. Harry (Carmen B.) Tueche of Monessen. There will be no public visitation. The Rhome Funeral Home,Inc. 1209 Grand Blvd.,Monessen is handling the arrangements.
