Elmer L. Walters of Scottdale R.D.1 died Wednesday July 6,1983 at 9:34 a.m. in Frick Community Hospital,Mount Pleasant. He was 75. Mr. Walters was born July 24,1907,in Charleroi, a son of the late Michael and Theresa Sailor Walters. A resident of Scottdale for the past 16 years,he formerly lived in Belle Vernon. Mr. Walters was a carpenter by trade. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Genevieve Burton Walters, in 1966. Survivors include two sons, John B.,with whom he made his home,and Robert L.at home;one daughter,Mrs. John (Charlotte) Troyner of West Hyattsville, Md.;one brother,John of Mount Pleasant;two sisters,Mrs. Irene Guyden and Mrs. Genevieve Andricovich,both of Stratford,Conn.,two grandchildren,Michael Troyner and Jenny Lynn Walters;and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Shelby D. Ferguson Funeral Home,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,where services will be held Saturday,July 9,at 11 a.m. with Dr. James L. Smith,pastor of the Ruffsdale Baptist Church,officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D. Ferguson,funeral director, is in charge of arrangements.
