Elmer L.Britt Jr.;71;of 133 Marion Ave.;Belle Vernon (Fairhope) died Saturday;Sept.14;1996;at 10:25 a.m.in the Mon Valley Hospital;Carroll Township. Born April 4;1925 in North Belle Vernon;he was a son of the late Mr.and Mrs.Elmer L.Britt Sr. Mr.Britt was a lifelong resident of the Belle Vernon area and was Lutheran by faith. He was a veteran of World War II having served in the U.S.Army and was a member of the Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659. He was also a retired owner and operator of Britt’s Auto Body Shop in Fairhope. Survivors include his wife;Carole MacDonnell Britt;two sons;David Britt of Dunlevy and Timmy Britt of Belle Vernon;and one daughter;Debbie Bartolotta of Monongahela. In additin to his parents;he was preceded in death by two brothers. Friends will be received Monday from 7 to 9 p.m.at the Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home;626 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;where services will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m.with the Rev.Kirk Griffin;pastor of the Christ Lutheran Church of Charleroi officiating. Interment will follow in the Belle Vernon Cemetery. Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659 will hold services Monday at 7 p.m.in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Humane Society. The Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
