Obituary

Elmer G. Miller,Sr.,54 of 301 McKean Ave.,Charleroi,died suddenly Tuesday, Oct. 1,1963 at 1 a.m. at the Columbus Hotel where he resided.  He had been ailing the past several weeks. A retired employee of the American Steel and Wire Co. in Donora,Mr. Miller was born March 31,1909,in Morgantown, W.Va.,the son of the late William F. Miller and Clara Belle Utt. His wife, Alberta DePasse Miller, preceded him in death in 1954. He is survived by two sons, Ralph J.,of Lorain,Ohio,and Elmer G.,Jr. of Boston, Mass.; two daughters, Mrs. Homer (Joyce) Sickles of Fayette City and Mrs. Victor (Alberta) Celaschi of Lorain, Ohio;four brothers, Roy of Brownsville,Pa.,James of Warren,Ohio,William and Olen,both of Charleroi;four sisters, Mrs. Raymond Santini,Mrs. Goldie Sentenik and Dorothy Miller,all of North Charleroi and Mrs. Joseph Fleming of Donora.  Seven grandchildren also survive. Friends are being received at the Harold L. Schrock Funeral Home,226 Fallowfield Ave.,Charleroi. Hours are from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 10 p.m.  Services will be held at the funeal home on Friday, Oct. 4,at 11 a.m.,with Rev. M.T. Hulihan of the First Baptist Church of Belle Vernon,officiating.  Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
