Obituary

Elmer F. Moore, 90, of 506 Bluff St., Belle Vernon, died Saturday, Feb. 12,1994, at 8p.m. at his home. He was born Aug. 23, 1903, in Dearth, German Township, Fayette County, a son of the late J. Newton and Martha Maryman Moore. Mr. Moore was Protestant by faith. Formerly of Brownsville, he had lived in Belle Vernon for over 60 years. He retired in 1968 from the Page Plant in Monessen where he had worked as a wire drawer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Jean McGraw Moore, who died May 21, 1938, his second wife, Agnes Vitza Sinclair Moore, who died Oct. 28,1988, a stepson, George T. Sinclair, one brother, George Moore, and two sisters, Alice Webb and Cella Brock. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Sue and John Dunlop of Lynnwood (Belle Vernon) and Carolyn and Captain James Batwinis of New Orleans, La., five grandchildren, Dr. J. Jeffrey Dunlop of Youngstown, Ohio, Mrs. Thomas (Valerie) Radic of Belle Vernon, Mrs. Clark (Annette) Necciai of Monongahela, Mrs. Joseph (Robbie) Stout of Columbia, Md., and Mrs. Brian (Lori Ann) Jeffries of Germany, and four great-grandchildren. Friends will be received Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Ferguson Funeral Home, 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon,where services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m.with the Rev.Frank DePolo,pastor Covenant Christian Church of Belle Vernon,officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.is in charge of arrangements.
