Obituary

Elmer C.Spiker of Fairhope,Belle Vernon,died Monday,June 16,1986 at 5:03 p.m. in Mon Valley Hospital. He was 59. He was born in Washington Township on June 15,1927,a son of the late Emerson and Margaret Grant Spiker. He was a member of the Marion United Presbyterian Church,Fairhope,the Belle Vernon American Legion,the Fairhope V.F.W.,the Fairhope Rod and Gun Club and the Naomi Athletic Club. He was a veteran of the U.S.Army,having served during World War II. He was retired from the Monessen Southwest Railroad of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel,Monessen Yard. He is preceded in death by two brothers,Melvin and Emerson. Survivors include his wife,Mary Perney Spiker,one son,Elmer C.Spiker Jr.of Fairhope,three daughters,Mrs.James (Cynthia) Manzini of Donora,Mrs.Diane Spiker and Mrs.John (Debra) Yetsconish,both of Belle Vernon,two sisters,Mrs.John (Gladys) Kelly and Mrs.Andrew (Marion) Pinasko,both of Belle Vernon,and six grandchildren. Friends will be received Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m.,Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday until 11 a.m. at the Howard E.McCrory Funeral Home,Fayette City. Interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
