Obituary
Elma Mills of 408 Grant St.,Belle Vernon,died Wednesday,Oct. 6,1982,at 1:15 p.m. in Mon Valley Hospital,Carroll Twp. She was 91. Mrs. Mills was born Dec. 20,1890,in Gilmore,Ohio,a daughter of the late Ezra and Clara Berkshire Fawcett. She had spent most of her life in the Belle Vernon area. In addition to her parents,Mrs. Mills was preceded in death by her husband,Harry Mills,in July of 1955;a son,Allen,and a daughter,Nelda. Survivors include two daughters,Mrs. Fred (Mercedes) Petry of Tuscarawas,Ohio and Mrs. Ellis (Doris) White,with whom she made her home;ten grandchildren;24 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Friends will be recieved in the Shelby D. Ferguson Funeral Home,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.,where services will be held on Saturday,Oct.9,at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Kenneth Klink,pastor of the Fundamental Bible Church of Perryopolis,officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D.Ferguson,funeral director,is in charge of arrangements.
