Elma Louise “Babe” Cekola Studnicki, 85, of Belle Vernon, Rostraver Township, passed away Friday, Dec. 19, 2025, at Hallsworth House, Mo nessen. Born Oct. 17, 1940, in Monessen, she was the daughter of the late John Cekola Jr. and Elma Pinasko Cekola. Mrs. Studnicki was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church, where she served as an usher and eucharistic minister. She was a 1958 graduate from Monessen High School and later graduated from Feusters Cosmetology School in Charleroi. After passing her state boards, she worked at Jay’s Beauty shop, Charleroi, and was later employed at her family’s business, Janosik’s Pharmacy in Monessen and later served as a caretaker for many years for a very special elderly lady. Babe was an animal lover and loved to make blackberry pies. If the berries were there she could make over 30 pies in a season. On June 30, 1962, she married her sweetheart, Henry Studnicki and they had three children. She is survived by her two daughters and sons-inlaw, Lori and Doug Dowd of Pittsburgh, Joyce and Charles Smith of Rostraver Township, John Studnicki of Scenery Hill; 11 grandchildren, Jessica (John), Jon Michael (Sharon), CJ (Eryn), Corrin (Tyler), Caleb (Kayla), Caylee (Josh), Kaitlyn (Michael), Korbin, Kamden, Katryna, Kaidin; seven great-grandchildren, Giana, Charley, Barrett, Cyrus, Maverick, Rocco and Rori. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry T. “Stu” Studnicki; brother, Wayne Cekola; and sister, Elsie Miller. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME & CREMATIONS, family owned and operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-6183. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations with the Rev. Michael Thomas of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church officiating. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to her Hallsworth House family whom she loved so dearly.
